Coral Caverns Livestock Protection Promise

At Coral Caverns, every order is backed by our commitment to healthy livestock and your complete satisfaction. We stand behind the quality of every animal we ship — no runaround, no fine print headaches. Simply send us photographic evidence within the specified timeframe, and we’ll take care of the rest.
Coverage periods by livestock type:
- Coral Frags: Protected for 5 days after delivery — submit a clear photo of the coral purchased from Coral Caverns within this window.
- Saltwater Fish: Protected for 3 days after delivery — submit a clear photo or video within this window.
- Saltwater Invertebrates: Covered under our Arrive Alive policy only — documentation must be submitted on the same day the package is delivered.
If any livestock does not survive through the applicable coverage period, we’ll issue store credit for the purchase price. Please note that shipping costs are not included in credited amounts.
Important Conditions
To keep your coverage valid, please observe the following:
- Leave coral frags mounted on their plugs for at least 5 days after arrival. Removing them early will void coverage.
- Do not dispose of or return any specimen without first receiving written approval from Coral Caverns. Unauthorized disposal or returns will void coverage.
- Do not refuse delivery if the box appears damaged or is leaking. Accept the package and document everything — refusal voids your coverage.
- Coverage is for shipped orders only and does not extend to local or in-store pickups.
- Carrier-related delays caused by weather events or mechanical issues that result in livestock loss may fall outside our coverage.
- We cannot be held responsible for incorrect shipping addresses entered by the buyer.
- Coral Caverns reserves the right to evaluate your tank conditions. If we determine that unsuitable water quality or environment contributed to the loss, coverage may be denied.
We always aim to find a fair resolution — reach out and we’ll do our best to make things right.

Maintaining proper water chemistry is essential for the health of your new additions. Below are the ranges we recommend for a thriving reef aquarium:

Additional Policies
Order Cancellations If you need to cancel an order, you can choose between a store credit valid for 1 year or a refund with a 20% cancellation fee applied.
Fish Compatibility Notice Coral Caverns may decline coverage if purchased fish are known to be incompatible with each other or with existing tankmates. We encourage all customers to research species compatibility thoroughly before placing an order. Our customer service team is happy to help answer compatibility questions before you buy — just reach out!
Quarantine Best Practices We strongly recommend maintaining a dedicated quarantine tank for all incoming fish. Introducing new arrivals directly into your display tank without proper quarantine carries significant risk. A properly cycled quarantine setup is one of the best investments you can make for the long-term health of your reef.
Seaweed Products All seaweed for fish products carry a minimum order quantity of 10 sheets. Orders below this threshold cannot be processed.
Free Shipping Eligibility Any order that includes seaweed along with a coral product qualifies for complimentary shipping via standard 3–5 day delivery.
How to Submit a DOA Claim
If you experience a loss, please email us at coralcavern7@gmail.com with the following:
- A clear photo or video of the deceased livestock taken under white lighting
- A photo of your aquarium setup
- Your order number or a copy of your packing slip
