About Ricordea yuma
Ricordea yuma is a unique corallimorph that combines the color of zoanthids with the texture of mushrooms. Known for its bubble-like tentacles and exotic appearance, this soft coral doesn’t have a stony skeleton, making it flexible and easy to place. Yumas can be sensitive at first, but once established, they’re hardy, long-lasting, and fast-growing.

🌍 Origin
Aquacultured from Indo-Pacific strains, selectively grown for vivid, stable pigmentation and improved tank adaptability.

💡 Lighting Requirements
Thrives under moderate to high light. Blues and actinics enhance its fluorescent tones dramatically.

🌊 Water Flow
Low to moderate flow. Too much flow can cause detachment or prevent full polyp inflation. A gentle, indirect current is ideal for maximum expansion and movement.

Photosynthetic but will accept micro-feedings. Occasional spot feeding with reef roids, powdered coral foods, or phytoplankton can promote faster growth and brighter colors.
